Love, relationships, and finding that special someone occupies a lot of our time. Relationships are important to our wellbeing and health. Research suggests that people in longstanding satisfying relationships are healthier and live longer than people who are single. However, sustaining intimacy and connection is no easy task; in order to love well we must keep learning about ourselves in relation to others.

This group will meet for 6 weeks. It is a process group where you will be expected to bring what you want to work on to the group. For example, you may be dealing with, ambivalence and difficulty with commitment, respecting someone who has different ways of being in the world, needing to be right, sexual differences, intimacy and honesty.

Why group? Groups give us a unique opportunity to explore the ways we relate to others. They can invoke experiences that mirror relationship dynamics outside of the group, and so, offer insight into one's interpersonal style and provide opportunities to practice new behaviours. Group therapy is a dynamic treatment modality that facilitates personal learning and decreases isolation and shame.
